Poco conocido en la historia de las relaciones internacionales de Venezuela es el capítulo que corresponde al estrechamiento de los vínculos sino-venezolanos durante el gobierno del presidente Luis Herrera Campins (1979-1984). Las tensiones de la Guerra Fría también habían producido la disputa Este-Este entre la Unión de Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas (URSS) y China por el liderazgo del movimiento comunista internacional, y en esa dinámica los Estados Unidos (EE. UU.) luego del acercamiento y normalización con Pekín en 1972 y 1979, coincidió con el gigante asiático en denunciar la actuación de la URSS en el mundo. Ese es el caso del conflicto centroamericano de los años setenta y ochenta del pasado siglo XX. En tal sentido, nos proponemos analizar la alianza que llevó a China y Venezuela a ser partícipes del conflicto de El Salvador en franca alineación con los EE.UU. y en contra de la intervención de la URSS y Cuba.

In the history of Venezuela’s international relations, the chapter on the strengthening of Sino-Venezuelan ties during the administration of President Luis Herrera Campins (1979-1984) is not well known. The tensions of the Cold War had also produced the East-East dispute between the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) and China for the leadership of the international communist movement, and in this dynamic, the United States of America (USA), after the rapprochement and normalization with Beijing in 1972 and 1979, coincided with the Asian giant in denouncing the actions of the USSR in the world. This is the case of the Central American conflict of the 1970s and 1980s. Therefore, we propose to analyze the alliance that led China and Venezuela to participate in the conflict in El Salvador in direct alignment with the U.S. and against the intervention of the USSR and Cuba.

在委内瑞拉的国际关系史中，在路易斯·埃雷拉·坎平斯总统（1979-1984）执政时期中国与委内瑞拉的紧密联系是鲜为人知的一章。冷战的紧张也促生了东方阵营内部苏联和中国对国际共产主义运动领导权的争执，而在这一变动下，在与中国1972年的接触和1979年关系正常化之后，美国和中国这一亚洲巨人又一致谴责苏联的世界活动。20世纪70、80年代的中美洲冲突情况就是如此。本文将分析中国和委内瑞拉的联盟，这一联盟使得中国与委内瑞拉成为萨尔瓦多冲突的相关方，两国与美国直接联合、反对苏联与古巴介入。
